SubTeach
SubTeach is scheduling software that helps K–12 schools line up substitute teachers. The founder, a former school principal I’d built a site for before, came to me with a home page assembled from a generic AI template. I redesigned it, rebuilt it in Tailwind CSS to fit the stack they already had, and broke the content into sections a busy administrator could scan.
Most of the design comes straight from the classroom. Section headlines get a highlighter swipe, the how-it-works steps sit on lined notebook paper, and the cards for each type of client look like sticky notes stuck to a desk. It’s software for schools, so I let it look like it had spent a year in one. The page is live at mysubteach.com.
